Tim Accurso is originally from Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania, and moved to Santa Barbara in the fall of 2018. Having always been passionate about singing, piano, and collaboration, Tim found his home in choir, musical theater, and eventually opera throughout high school and into college.

Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal and Piano Performance from Susquehanna University and a Master’s degree in Vocal Coaching and Accompanying from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where he studied with Dr. Julie Jordan Gunn.

After graduation, he pursued a career in the opera industry and has worked as a pianist and coach at Utah Opera, Opera Saratoga, Palm Beach Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, Opera Las Vegas, and the Dayton Opera.

In the fall of 2022 Tim was named the Artistic Director of the Santa Barbara Gay Men’s Chorus, a non-auditioned ensemble celebrating LGBTQ voices right here in Santa Barbara.

Tim has also joined the adjunct faculty at Santa Barbara City College teaching voice and piano. This season Tim will also serve as the Music Director for Out of The Box Theatre Company for their productions of Dear Evan Hansen and Bat Boy: The Musical. Tim lives in Santa Barbara with his husband, Ediben, and their three dogs.
